Didactic Experimental Areas
The Ressacada Experimental Farm includes the following permanent Didactic Experimental areas:
- Agroecology / area: 0,7 ha
- Beekeeping / area: 0,54 ha
- Poultry – Chicken / area: 0.04 ha
- Cattle / area: 26,2 ha
- Cover Crops / area: 0,3 ha
- Rabbit / Area: 0.01 ha
- Native forests and swamps / area: 23.5 ha and 28.9 ha respectively
- Forage / area: 0,9 ha
- Fruit Crops / area: 0.96 and 0.19 ha respectively with Orchard and didactic collection of species of native pineapples from Santa Catarina state
- Mechanization – Garage and machinery and implements / 0.03 ha with four large bulldozers, two microtractor, winch, distributor of manure and limestone, windrowing, planter, subsoiler, plows, hoes-rotary sprinklers for agriculture and horticulture, plantadouras direct-planting and tree seedlings, motor pumps and other equipment.
- Vegetable Crops – Vegetable Gardening: Organic and Integrated Pest and Disease / area: 0,3 ha
- Forestry / Area: 2.7 hectares of teaching collections with eucalyptus, arboretum of natives species (and agroforestry) and bambusetum (bamboo collection)
- Remediation of Groundwater / 3.3 ha with several tests of the effects of fuels in soils
